Plants That Strengthen Spiritual Connections

Plants That Strengthen Spiritual Connections

Plants can increase our concentration and focus, allow our mind and body to relax, open our hearts, and most importantly, enable us to establish the link between the conscious and subconscious mind. In order to strengthen our spiritual connections, it is vital to find the plant (incense) or essential oil that is most in tune with our frequency. This is something only our own mind, body and soul can feel.

Below is a list of plants and essential oils used by various cultures and religions in rituals and ceremonies – though the plant you’re looking for might be something else entirely.

Essential oils that strengthen spiritual connections:

Resins: Frankincense, Myrrh, Peru Balsam, Patchouli, Benzoin Trees: Cedarwood, Cypress, Juniper, Pine, Bay Tree, Rose Tree, Sandalwood, Spruce, Fir, Camphor Herbs: Rosemary, Sage, Hyssop, Basil, Myrtle, Marjoram Flowers: Rose, Bitter Orange Tree, Jasmine, Calendula, Chamomile Root vegetables: Ginger, Vetiver, Spikenard Spices: Cinnamon, Cloves, Nutmeg, Black Pepper

Spiritually thought of as the oozing blood of trees, resins have been used as incense for centuries. While Frankincense and Myrrh are still being burned in churches in keeping with Christian tradition, Benzoin is widely used in Asia, India and Malaysia.

It is believed that flowers attract angelic energies with their scents. Applying a few drops of an essential oil on your pillow before going to bed will help you find an answer to a question troubling your mind, while anointing your palms with it before praying will help you concentrate deeper and strengthen your connection to the divine. Applying a few drops of Frankincense Essential Oil mixed with Sweet Almond Oil on the top of your head can help balance your Crown Chakra. Spruce and Bay Laurel Essential Oils can also be used to help you sink into meditation deeper.

To activate their powers, you can burn the plants as an incense using the element of fire and let their smell surround you, or simply apply their essential oils into a diffuser and let their fragrance fill the space around you. You can alternatively carry an object scented with an essential oil or wear a perfume on your skin made with an essential oil mixed with a base oil. Any other method that comes from the heart will do as well…Please don’t forget that they are not to be eaten or drunk.

Take a deep breath, breathe in their heavenly scent and be thankful. Then immerse yourself in their miracles.
